Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Calibration Officer to provide comprehensive calibration, research, and technical support to their Calibration Supervisor and industry professionals.

This is a contact position - ASAP start until May 2025, with possible extension.

As a Senior Calibration Officer, you will calibrate gas monitors, temperature-controlled enclosures, and flow meters. You will be responsible for maintaining NATA accreditation while actively contributing to various research projects that drive innovation and excellence in our services.

Key accountabilities:

  • Ensure the calibration laboratory maintains NATA accreditation for all items within our scope of services.
  • Develop, implement, and review technical and quality procedures related to calibration activities.
  • Perform NATA calibration of gas monitors, flow meters, sampling pumps, and temperature-controlled enclosures for both external and internal clients.
  • Undertake research and revise laboratory services to adapt to ongoing changes in the industry.
  • Provide high-level scientific advice to clients regarding the calibration services
  • Prepare and review detailed reports on calibration activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Deliver onsite mobile calibration services to the resource sector and other industries, enhancing service accessibility.
  • Commit to providing quality client services and maintain the integrity of Integrated Management System.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and work schedules for calibration projects to meet client requirements.
About you:
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a NATA-accredited laboratory, with over five years of calibration experience.
  • Proven experience as a NATA signatory.
  • Proficiency in mathematics and a solid understanding of measurement uncertainty.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards, guiding quality management and testing processes.
  • A positive attitude and a proactive, "can-do" mindset.
  • Curiosity and strong problem-solving skills.
