Key responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and delivery of learning and development strategies and programs.
  • Manage the annual Learning Plan and training budget.
  • Work with leaders to identify learning needs and skill gaps.
  • Develop project plans and ensure timely, on-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with leadership on initiatives to support strategic goals.
  • Align learning and development strategies with business objectives.
  • Analyse workforce trends and adjust learning strategies accordingly.
  • Drive change initiatives and communicate goals to stakeholders.
  • Design programs to enhance employee engagement, retention, and development.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Continuously gather feedback to improve the workplace environment.
  • Use data to assess the effectiveness of learning programs and recommend improvements.
  • Contribute to the strategic plans and ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental policies.
 
About you
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education, Organisational Learning, or related field.
  • Completed a certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
  • Have a strong background in learning and development or organisational development.
  • A strong understanding of HR principles and employment legislation.
  • Possess excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive change in a complex environment.
  • Be a strategic thinker with the ability to align business goals with actionable plans.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with e-learning platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and data analytics.
  • Hold a Queensland C Class Driver’s Licence.
  • A current National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one prior to offer.
