Achieve Group is partnering with a leading university in Northern Queensland, known for its commitment to advancing tropical regions and sustainability, to find a Senior Solution Architect to join their Technology Solutions team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced solution architect to shape the technology landscape and contribute to impactful business outcomes.
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Solution Architect to work closely with key stakeholders across the university to define and implement technology strategies that align with institutional goals. You will take the lead in developing both current and future state architectures and ensure the delivery of technology solutions that create business value. This is a key position within a dynamic team, where you will play an integral role in shaping the future of technology at the university. This position is a 6-month opportunity with the potential for a 4 month extension.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Technology Solutions (TS) team and other stakeholders to define product roadmaps and business outcomes for the university’s entire applications and technologies portfolio.
- Lead the development and maintenance of both current and target state technology architectures, creating technical artefacts such as standards, patterns, reference architectures, and roadmaps.
- Work closely with development and delivery teams to ensure that solutions align with the agreed architecture, technology strategies, and governance frameworks.
- Lead solution architecture governance activities to support the Enterprise Architecture governance function.
- Manage solution design decisions, balancing cost, technical constraints, risk, and value to execute the technology strategy effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to ensure technology solutions deliver maximum value.
- Provide strategic advice and subject matter expertise to ensure technology initiatives align with the university’s strategic goals and objectives.
Key Requirements:- Relevant qualifications and experience as outlined in the Higher Education Worker Level of the Enterprise Agreement.
- Extensive experience and knowledge in business solutions and technologies, including cloud architectures and modern integration models.
- Proven senior solution architecture experience, with expertise in governance processes, industry standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of data protection and information security controls and frameworks.
- Exceptional organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High-level written communication skills, with the ability to create both technical and non-technical documentation, performance reports, and incident briefs.
