Key Responsibilities:- Deliver expert structural engineering solutions to clients, ensuring that all projects meet their specific requirements and technical standards.
- Take ownership of the preparation, review, and maintenance of structural engineering documentation, ensuring all files are accurate and complete.
- Ensure all designs, analyses, and project deliverables comply with relevant Australian building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Use advanced engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro) to conduct detailed structural analysis and design, ensuring all work is safe, practical, and code-compliant.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, technical reports, and other documentation for structural projects.
- Review and assess the structural integrity, feasibility, and safety of proposed designs, ensuring that they meet both client and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments as needed to evaluate project progress, quality, and structural performance.
- Work closely with architects, contractors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, resolve issues, and ensure seamless integration of structural solutions within broader project frameworks.
- Oversee the execution of structural engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members, fostering their development and ensuring that engineering best practices are followed.
Key Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or higher in Structural Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on the design and analysis of diverse projects.
- Proven experience in successfully delivering structural engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Demonstrated expertise in using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, or similar tools).
- Strong ability to identify and resolve complex structural design challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- In-depth understanding of Australian building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Strong organisational skills and experience in managing the lifecycle of engineering projects, from initial design to final implementation.
